Today was for the first time in a long time at the “Em kölschen Boor”. I can only recommend it. Very nice brewery with very nice and attentive service. The food was very tasty and Mühlenkölsch tastes great!

Nice old brewery on the Eigelstein. Very good down to earth local cuisine. Good service and now delicious Mühlenkölsch. Since Corona, also a spacious outdoor area. The new operator has done the restaurant well.

Now finally there's "em Kölsche Boor" really good Kölsch! "Mühlen Kölsch" - and the gastronomy is from the Malzmühle (taken over), a really good addition to the Veedel! It gets even better when the Eigelstein is finally (after years!) "Car-free" and you can enjoy outdoor dining without harmful car emissions! Conclusion: drinks, food, service, "Cologne feeling" great!

Delicious Mühlen Kölsch and an extensive menu with well-prepared brewery classics leave nothing to be desired. The Köbes is warmly gruff, the Kölsch comes fresh and tapped to the table and the cozy atmosphere invites you to linger.

Unfortunately due to corona, the kidneys as well as the roulades did not get it. The alternatives were delicious. We had a salad with turkey meat and a hunter's schnitzel, both very tasty leck. Staff very polite and not pushy!

Cozy with good cuisine. It was our second time here and we were very satisfied again. The brewery is under new management and is still in the initial phase. The color is probably just dry, but the corona emergency operation is running. The liquid gold comes from the mill brewery. Gladly again and again!

It’s fine. Don’t expect to get in and out fast, but do expect your beer to be refilled quickly if it’s close to empty. Also expect food that’s good enough that you won’t be disappointed, but not so good that you’ll be clamoring to come back.

I didn’t have a luck with food here - everything was wrong- undercooked and hard potatoes, burnt meat and very sour red cabbage

Beer is good, waitress was nice, but i cannot say the same for food, tomatoe soup was salty, mushroom food (for vegetarians) is not suggested by me if you are little in a rush because even after 20min after its served, it was too hot and i coulsnt eat. Although waitres was alone in the big room, she could manage well but what is this small size beer tradition? Its very animal friendly place which has mouse inside as in photo. ( i dont really mind).

Food not bad but the service was painfully slow and very hard to get the grumpy waitress' attention. The evening was rounded off by the sight of a mouse scurrying around the restaurant. Grumpy waitress seemed unconcerned by the mouse and insisted the kitchen was clean ! I don't think any of our party would go back.

Beautiful atmosphere and great food and drinks.

Great food with really reasonable prices and friendly staff. I had the grilled pork knuckle which was great and very filling, and great beer. I was traveling on my own and felt very welcome and comfortable here. That said, the area doesn’t feel the safest to walk around alone so I made sure to head out well before sunset.

Tasty food and beer at good prices, much better than their competitors in Munich. Super friendly staff made the whole meal really pleasant.

Food was very tasty, but unfortunately the experience was ruined by our server advising (and this is the first time this has happened to us anywhere we've travelled in Germany) 'this doesn't include a tip' when bringing us our bill. We already know this and we always tip, it was just a shame to have this blatantly emphasised to us when we'd bought an appetiser, two main meals, four beers and a wine (it's not like we ordered one beer and a salad between two people). Yes, we still tipped, but I wish we had chosen somewhere else to eat. I guess it should have been a red flag that there were only two other people in this restaurant when we arrived after 6pm...

The service is good, the food is mediocre.

Gorgeous traditional German food at reasonable prices. The grilled knuckle of pork was so tender but yet crispy, was the best pork I've had!

Super food and relaxed environment. The kolsch was good and the food delicious (paprika shnitzel). Also was a “coleslaw” (translated) side dish which was amazing - I wish I had asked where it was made, even tried to find it at home.

Food was topical but the service was vary slow. There were only 3 waiters working on a Friday night diner so they were busy all the time. We ordered and it took 90 minutes for it to arrive. The appetizer came when the meal was servered. Our waiter keep saying it was coming, bread cheese and onion shouldn't be too hard to make. There are much better places to eat around town. Three stars cause the food wasn't bad.

Delicious food at this old style German restaurant!

This is the restaurant that I most love in the trip around Europe in October 2018 so far. I like the meals so much. Then surprise to known that only one staff was served my group of 12 people. Friendly and helpful staff, nice decorated, good furnitures. I had the good time here.

I wouldn't go again. Food not cooked fresh came out way to fast it looked like it had been sat on a hotplate for many hours.

For the ones who are looking for a restaurant with traditional german food and drinks, here is a good option

The steak speaks volumes. See photo. After waiting for an hour, it is raw at the bottom and raw at the top. Roulade without bacon, chips rather chips, completely dry. Service inattentive and mega slow. AVOID!

Good typical cologne environment. Friendly staff that spoke several languages. Typical food and beer. There are private rooms with Kegelbahn / bowling that you can reserve. They have a big screen for the world cup games and the environment is very nice.
